Columns

A column it’s an architectural element that serves to beautify the work. Although the function of the pillar is generally more robust and of square section, which may correspond to the shank of the column.

The column is usually characterized by a structure slimmer and slender in plumb and has an historical, decorative and a quite symbolic meaning.

Cornices

It’s a term used in architecture to refer a horizontal band that stands out from the wall.
